In the first seminar of the series, we’ll explore the Nodal axis in the natal chart. We’ll ground ourselves in the astronomy of the Nodes and consider mythological approaches which open up the symbolism of these sometimes mysterious points in the horoscope. Weaving together the unique lessons of the North Node and the South Node, we’ll consider the dynamic of evolution and growth shown by the Nodal pathways. Often encapsulating themes and symbolism found elsewhere in the chart, the natal Nodes show the gifts we bring as well as offering new ways to use them, as we’ll see in the example charts included.

Moving around the chart in a nineteen-year cycle, the transiting Nodes map out our growth and soul evolution. Travelling retrograde around the chart, they take us inward to bring moments of reflection and integration. The Nodes of the Moon are sometimes overlooked in forecasting, but whenever they are impacted, we experience turning points in our growth and energies which contribute to our development. We’ll return to our case study charts to consider how these dynamics play out and what happens when these points of reflection and connection are awakened by the cosmic energies around us.
