Faculty of Astrological Studies

A New Chapter for the Faculty

A New Chapter for the Faculty

Welcoming Our New President and Council

TThe Faculty of Astrological Studies has entered an exciting new era with the appointment of Dr. Frances Clynes as its new President.

This transition, which took place during the recent Annual General Meeting (AGM), marks a significant milestone for the Faculty. It coincides with a symbolic shift, as the Faculty’s progressed Sun moves into Virgo – a sign associated with service, precision, and continuous improvement.

Dr Frances Clynes succeeds Cat Cox, whose dedicated leadership and visionary guidance have been instrumental in the Faculty’s success. Cat’s contributions have laid a strong foundation for the future, fostering a cohesive and effective team within the Faculty. At the AGM, Dr Frances Clynes expressed her sincere gratitude to Cat for her invaluable service. To symbolise this transition of leadership, the Faculty’s ceremonial book was passed from Cat to Frances.

Welcoming New Leadership

Joining Dr Frances Clynes as Vice President is Marielle Churaqui, who brings her expertise and enthusiasm to this crucial role.

The AGM also saw the appointment of new Council members: Deborah Morgan, Mark Fountain, and Toby Aldren. Each brings a unique set of skills and a shared commitment to advancing the Faculty’s mission.

Key Role Updates

Several important changes to key roles within the Faculty have also been announced:

  • Head Tutor: Toby Aldren assumed the role of Head Tutor, bringing with him a wealth of experience and a deep dedication to astrological education.
  • Head of Exams: Mark Fountain will succeed Monica in this vital role, ensuring the continued smooth operation of the Faculty’s examination process.
  • IT Manager: Kerrie Johns will be taking over as IT Manager from Dr Frances Clynes.

Looking Ahead

This period of transition brings renewed energy and fresh perspectives to the Faculty while maintaining the stability and tradition that have made it a leader in astrological education.

The Faculty extends its heartfelt thanks to Cat Cox for her exceptional leadership and service. We also warmly welcome Dr Frances Clynes, Marielle Churaqui, and the new Council members. Together, we look forward to building upon the Faculty’s strong foundation and continuing to raise the standards of astrological education.

Keep an eye on our updates as we move into this exciting new chapter.
