With his distinctive profile that looked both backwards to the recent past, and forwards to the near future, Janus was the Roman god who ruled both beginnings and endings. For people in most cultures, the December Solstice or – for some – Christmas, or the simple fact that another calendar year is coming to a close, represent special opportunities to reflect on the events and changes of the past year. For others, this time of year may be a moment when new goals are set, although these so-called New Year Resolutions tend to be easy to make but not so easy to keep!
This webinar discusses the importance for all of us of tapping into the Janus archetype at this time of year, and explores how Janus involves honouring the past as well as feeling hopeful for the potential of the future.
We will also consider how astrology can best be used both to look back and to find new meaningful perspectives on the old year, and how it might even help us make better resolutions for the new year!
