Alchemy, mystery and magic
· prague ·
22nd - 25th October 2026
Delegate Information
We are so pleased that you will be joining us in Prague to explore alchemy, mystery and magic. We are very grateful to our Faculty student and friend Tereza Bartova for her help in making this event happen and she has kindly compiled all the below information that you will need. This guide has been updated on 7th of April 2026. Please, be aware that some details may have changed since then.
AGENDA
Thursday 22nd October 17.00 – Sunday 25th October – 12.00
We will be contemplating astrology, especially the natal chart, in the light of these three themes. Using the insights each offers into our astrological practices opens up our understanding of the numinous and allows us to deepen our relationship with the cosmos. The magical city of Prague is our backdrop helping us to ground our journeys into the mysterious. You can download a detailed programme here.
GETTING TO THE VENUE
Getting from Prague Airport to the venue
Venue: Malostranská beseda, Malostranské náměstí 35/21, Prague 1
By taxi or ride-hailing
The easiest and most comfortable way to reach the venue is by taxi or a ride-hailing service.
The official airport taxi service is Uber Airport, which can be booked via the Uber app, at self-service kiosks, or at the airport counter in the arrivals hall. The pick-up points are located directly outside both terminals.
At the airport counter you can pay by card or cash, while the kiosks accept card payments only. A useful feature of Uber Airport is that you will see the final price in advance, which does not change even if there is traffic. As a rough guide, a journey to the city centre costs around CZK 800.
When booking at the airport, you will receive a PIN code, which you give to the next available driver – this makes the process quick and efficient.
An alternative is Bolt, which is often slightly cheaper, with prices typically ranging between CZK 400-700 depending on demand. However, Bolt does not pick up directly outside the arrivals hall. Drivers usually stop at nearby short-term parking areas (such as P1 Express or P2) or at the departures level (one floor above arrivals). An airport access fee of approximately CZK 50 is automatically added. When using Bolt, it is important to follow the instructions in the app carefully, as the pick-up point may require a short walk.
By public transport
Public transport from the airport is easy to find and straightforward to use, even for first-time visitors. Bus and trolleybus stops are located directly outside the arrivals halls.
The recommended route is to take trolleybus 59 to Nádraží Veleslavín, and then continue by Metro Line A (green line) towards the city centre, getting off at Malostranská.
From Malostranská, the venue is about a 10-minute walk. Alternatively, you can take a tram (lines 12, 15, 20 or 22) for one stop to Malostranské náměstí. The tram stop is located directly outside the metro station.
The journey to the metro takes approximately 15-17 minutes, and the total travel time to the venue is usually around 35-40 minutes.
Tickets and fares
Public transport tickets must be purchased before boarding the bus or trolleybus. Tickets are available from machines at the airport (most accept contactless cards), at public transport counters, or via the PID Lítačka mobile app.
A standard 90-minute ticket costs CZK 50 (paper) or CZK 46 in the app and is usually sufficient for the journey into the city. A 30-minute ticket (CZK 39/36 CZK) may also be sufficient if travelling without delays.
If you plan to use public transport more during your stay, a 24-hour ticket (CZK 150/140 CZK) or a 72-hour ticket (CZK 350/340 CZK) may be a convenient option.
Please note that large luggage (over 25 × 45 × 70 cm) requires a small additional ticket (CZK 25/23 CZK), unless you are travelling with a 24-hour or 72-hour pass, where one large item is included.
Practical recommendation
If you are looking for the simplest and most comfortable option, we recommend using Uber Airport.
If you prefer the most economical option, public transport is reliable, easy to navigate, and well connected to the city centre.
