Exeter College

Exeter College was founded in 1314 and stands in the heart of Oxford near to the Bodleian Library. The oldest part of the college dates to 1432, with other buildings added in the 17th and 18th centuries, including the Gothic chapel with its magnificent stained glass and a stunning Jacobean dining hall. There are peaceful gardens ideal for quiet contemplation and the main quadrangle is one of the most beautiful in Oxford.
Many famous people have studied here, including J.R.R.Tolkien and the pre-Raphaelite artists William Morris and Edward Burne-Jones, some of whose original work is on display in the college. For anyone interested in magical children’s literature, Philip Pullman, author of the trilogy ‘His Dark Materials’, was also an undergraduate here, basing his fictitious Jordan College on Exeter.
Oxford - the city of dreaming spires
Known worldwide as a hub of knowledge and history, Oxford boasts a unique blend of medieval architecture, prestigious university colleges, and vibrant culture. Whether you’re wandering through the cobbled streets or taking a quiet moment in one of Oxford’s beautiful gardens, the city provides an inspiring backdrop to your astrological studies.
Free afternoons on Sunday and Wednesday allow you the opportunity to explore this stunning city. Oxford is easily accessible, with direct links from London and major airports, including Gatwick, Heathrow, Luton, and Stansted.

Accommodation
Both standard and en-suite accommodation is available. Delegates in standard rooms share a bathroom, with a maximum of four rooms to each bathroom. En-suite accommodation is either single occupancy or twin-set.
Exeter is an undergraduate college and the accommodation is therefore simple but comfortable. If you do not wish to stay at Exeter College, the recently built sister site, Cohen Quad, offers modern single en-suite accommodation, ten minutes’ walk away.
There is a generous choice of hot and cold options at breakfast and lunch, and dinner is a served two-course meal. Alternatively, a half-board option is available for delegates who prefer to make their own arrangements either for lunch or dinner. Please note that for delegates staying at the Cohen Quad site, all meals including breakfast are taken at Exeter College Dining Hall, Turl Street.
Tea and coffee are served in the morning and afternoon breaks. As well, tea and coffee-making facilities are provided in your own room, whether you are staying at Exeter College or at the Cohen Quad.
