On Saturday 22nd March, the Faculty of Astrological Studies gathered at Mary Ward House in London for our annual Faculty Day, a chance for students, tutors, alumni and friends to come together and celebrate our vibrant astrological community.

This year’s theme, “Reflecting on our Astrological Practice: Finding Ways to Shine”, was beautifully explored through a series of inspiring talks by students and graduates of the Faculty.
We began the day with three wonderful and thoughtful student presentations:
Matthew Bosely opened with “Heaven As It Is In Earth”, a contemplative talk on the celestial and terrestrial meeting point within astrological symbolism.
Tracy Jenkins followed with “Harnessing the Treasures Within”, offering reflections on how astrological wisdom can support personal growth and wellbeing.
Gill Beighton then shared “Exploring Our Hidden Depths”, shining a light on creativity, inspiration and joy as revealed through the chart.
In the afternoon, our Faculty President, Dr. Frances Clynes, welcomed attendees before leading the Certificate and Diploma awards ceremony, a meaningful tradition and proud moment for all. Our new Diploma holders signed the Code of Ethics, a ritual steeped in history: with fewer than 500 signatures recorded to date, it remains a truly special milestone.

The day concluded with a moving keynote presentation from Gloria Roca, “Motion and Emotion: Growing to Shine”. Her talk, rich with wisdom and reflection, was momentarily punctuated by a dramatic clap of thunder – perhaps a nod from Jupiter himself, making his presence known!
From beginning to end, Faculty Day 2025 was filled with inspiration, connection and such a lovely celebration. Thank you to all who joined us, and especially to our speakers for sharing their insights and light. Here’s to continuing to grow, learn and shine together. We look forward to seeing you at Summer School!
