Two of the less common and more complex aspect patterns are the Kite and the so-called Mystic Rectangle. The Kite consists of one opposition, three trines and two sextiles, while the Mystic Rectangle is composed of two oppositions, two trines and two sextiles. Perhaps because of their complexity, both are often portrayed – rightly or wrongly – as uniquely intriguing and meaningful. The Mystic Rectangle in particular is often seen as a symbol of someone who can – at their best – work imaginatively with paradoxes and conflicts, somehow juggling different situations with remarkable ingenuity and skill. Is this a useful way to see this pattern?
What are we to make of these aspect pattens that can seem so confusing at first sight? Where do we begin when confronted by one in the chart of a client or someone we know? Is the Mystic Rectangle really ‘mystical’? And more seriously, how can we explain these patterns both to ourselves and to clients who may be seeking clarity to help them deal with inner tensions and contradictions? This webinar presents some striking examples of these patterns and focuses on an in-depth analysis of their potential and how they have manifested in the lives of individuals, some famous and others less well-known.
