The Drive for Integration and Going with the Flow: Maximising the potential of the T-square, Grand Cross, the Grand Trine and Minor Grand Trine
🗓 Date: 3 January 2026
⏰ Time: 3:00–4:30 PM GMT
📍 Venue: Online

This webinar examines four different aspect patterns, starting with perhaps the two most familiar ones, the T-square and the Grand Trine. The webinar will examine and demolish some of the myths and misconceptions about these aspect patterns. We will then discuss the gifts and opportunities, as well as the potential challenges, that both aspect patterns can represent.
Particular attention will be paid to the so-called apex planet of the T-square, which may provide clues as to how the energies of the pattern can best be harnessed.
How can we get the most out of these aspect patterns if we have them in our charts, and furthermore, how can we explain them to a client who wants to work with them?
This seminar will explore:
- How to understand the inner dynamic in T-square, Grand Cross, Grand Trine and Minor Grand Trine aspect patterns
- Myths and misconceptions on how to make use of aspect patterns in chart readings
- The importance and interpretation of the apex planet
- How to deliver your interpretation to a potential client
Navigating Complexity and Paradox: Working with the Kite and the Mystic Rectangle

Two of the less common and more complex aspect patterns are the Kite and the so-called Mystic Rectangle. The Kite consists of one opposition, three trines and two sextiles, while the Mystic Rectangle is composed of two oppositions, two trines and two sextiles. Perhaps because of their complexity, both are often portrayed – rightly or wrongly – as uniquely intriguing and meaningful. The Mystic Rectangle in particular is often seen as a symbol of someone who can – at their best – work imaginatively with paradoxes and conflicts, somehow juggling different situations with remarkable ingenuity and skill. Is this a useful way to see this pattern?
What are we to make of these aspect pattens that can seem so confusing at first sight? Where do we begin when confronted by one in the chart of a client or someone we know? Is the Mystic Rectangle really ‘mystical’? And more seriously, how can we explain these patterns both to ourselves and to clients who may be seeking clarity to help them deal with inner tensions and contradictions?
This webinar presents some striking examples of these patterns and focuses on an in-depth analysis of their potential and how they have manifested in the lives of individuals, some famous and others less well-known.
This webinar will delve into:
- Understand the Kite and Mystic Rectangle patterns and their meanings.
- Learn practical steps to analyze these patterns in charts.
- Question the so-called “mystical” quality of the Mystic Rectangle.
- See real-life examples and how to explain these patterns to others.
Embracing Discomfort and Relishing the Struggle: Making sense of the Yod and the Finger of the World
🗓 Date: 31 January 2026

The Yod (sometimes known as the Finger of Fate or the Finger of God), consisting of two planets forming quincunxes to a third planet and a sextile to each other, is not a complex aspect patten, but nevertheless has the reputation of being intensely ‘fated’. Is this an accurate or helpful way of looking at it? Should astrologers even use the word ‘fate’?
The webinar examines some examples of the Yod at work in the lives of individuals and discusses how we can get the most from this aspect pattern.
We will also discuss the Finger of the World, an aspect pattern involving two planets in square with one and both of which form sesquiquadrates to a third planet. This is another aspect pattern which can be misunderstood and misinterpreted. We start by examining the challenges that can be presented by any square aspect and then widen the discussion by focusing on the subtleties of the minor aspect, the sesquiquadrate, an understanding of which can help us to unlock the mystery of the aspect pattern as a whole. Special attention will also be paid to the apex planet of this aspect pattern.
Does this aspect pattern represent the fascinating and perhaps strange concept of taking pleasure from a struggle that the individual may never ‘win’, or are there other perspectives that might provide illumination on this subject?
This webinar will delve into:
- The Yod and how it appears in real-life charts.
- The Finger of the World pattern and its challenges.
- New perspectives on struggle and meaning in these aspects.
