Alan Annand is a Canadian astrologer based in Toronto. He completed his Diploma in 1980, and served as the Faculty’s correspondence tutor for North American students, 1982-87. After two decades of consulting and teaching, he became interested in Jyotish, and subsequently earned a Diploma from the American College of Vedic Astrology. He’s been a regular speaker at the Sedona Vedic Astrology conference series, and participated in multiple online conferences and webinars.
He’s the author of several books, both fiction and non-fiction. Mutual Reception and The Draconic Bowl are written for Western astrologers, applying a sidereal perspective. His books on Vedic astrology include Kala Sarpa, Parivartana Yoga, and Stellar Astrology, Volumes 1-3. His NEW AGE NOIR mystery novels (Scorpio Rising, Felonious Monk, Soma County) feature an astrologer protagonist, whom one reviewer dubbed “Sherlock Holmes with a horoscope.”
