When we interpret planets in signs, and when we ponder the aspects that planets make with one another, we find meaning in their positions ‘up there’ in the heavens. Only by incorporating the angles into the chart – the Ascendant and Descendant, the Medium Coeli and Imum Coeli – do we anchor that unique moment in time into a grounded earthly experience. It is not surprising that the chart angles are a basis for nearly every house system.

In this seminar, we will secure our knowledge of the angles astronomically, then gain deeper insights into how we interpret them.  We will place special emphasis on interpreting each axis as a continuum. Planets conjunct an angle will be given some attention, and we will see how their energy can manifest in archetypal ways. In addition, we will ponder some sign combinations of Ascendant and MC, and we may even learn a trick to guess the MC when knowing the ASC and place of birth.

This seminar is suitable for Foundation Level students yet will also introduce some concepts of interest to Diploma Level students.
