A New Chapter for the Faculty

Welcoming Our New President and Council

The Faculty of Astrological Studies has entered an exciting new phase as Dr. Frances Clynes officially took on the role of President during our Annual General Meeting (AGM). This transition marks a significant milestone in our history and coincides with the Faculty’s progressed Sun moving into Virgo. Virgo is a sign associated with service, precision, and continuous improvement.

Welcoming Our New Vice President

We are pleased to welcome Marielle Churaqui as our new Vice President. Marielle brings her expertise and enthusiasm to this important role and will support Frances in leading the Faculty forward.

Welcoming Our New Council

This year’s AGM also introduced a refreshed Council team. We are delighted to welcome new Council members Debrah Morgan, Mark Fountain, and Toby Aldren. Each brings a unique set of skills and a commitment to supporting the Faculty’s work.

Updates to Key Roles

Several important changes to key roles within the Faculty were announced:

  • Head Tutor: Toby Aldren became Head Tutor on 1 November, taking on this pivotal role with a wealth of experience and dedication to astrological education.
  • Head of Exams: Mark Fountain will step into the role of Head of Exams from Monica on 1 January 2025, ensuring continuity in this crucial area.
  • IT Manager: Frances Clynes will hand over her responsibilities as IT Manager to Kerrie Johns, who will officially take up the role on 1 January.

Looking Ahead

This period of change brings fresh ideas and energy to the Faculty while maintaining the stability and tradition that make it a leader in astrological education. We warmly welcome Dr Frances Clynes, Marielle Churaqui, and our new Council members. Together, we look forward to continuing to raise the standard of astrological education and building on the Faculty’s strong foundation.
